Chargeroo — Power Bank Rental Service in Australia

Chargeroo is an Australian power bank rental network. Rent a portable phone charger from a self-serve Chargeroo station inside a partner venue, use it while you're out, and return it to any Chargeroo station in the network. Lightning, USB-C and Micro USB cables are built into every power bank.

Pricing

Rental fee: $7.50 AUD per hour. Deposit: $20 AUD, refunded to your card when the power bank is returned. Payment is by credit or debit card via Stripe. No cash and no app required.

How It Works

1. Find a Chargeroo station at a participating venue.
2. Tap your card at the station, or scan its QR code with your phone camera.
3. Confirm the $20 refundable deposit — no app required.
4. A charged power bank is released. Charge your device on the go.
5. Return the power bank to any Chargeroo station to end the rental and get your deposit back.

Can I return it to a different venue?

Yes. Any Chargeroo station accepts any Chargeroo power bank — you do not have to return it to the venue you rented from.

Chargeroo installs stations in pubs, clubs, breweries, cafés, gyms, retail and event venues. There is no cost to the venue and no lock-in contract; Chargeroo supplies the hardware and handles maintenance and customer support. Stations come in 8, 12 and 24 slot sizes.
